Facebook has cancelled their annual dev conference over fears of the Coronavirus.
It is interesting because the conference takes place in May, which *could* give enough time to learn more about the virus, see how it propagates, and determine whether or not holding the conference would actually be dangerous.
But it is likely Facebook doesn't want to spend money planning something that might end up cancelled, as those kinds of large conventions need to be planned months in advance and represent a significant investment early on.

#ETH upgrade now going to be two forks, the first of which happening sometime around February 27th. Almost want to run a betting pool on the over/under of them kicking the can again, or finding something that postpones it. What a joke. https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-devs-propose-activating-constantinople-hard-fork-in-late-february

"when we look back on history, the progress of Western civilization and human rights is actually founded on the violation of law. America was of course born out of a violent revolution that was an outrageous treason against the crown and established order of the day. History shows that the righting of historical wrongs is often born from acts of unrepentant criminality. Slavery. The protection of persecuted Jews."
