@sean Hey Sean, I've got a question about your WeDistribute blog.

You have the Fediverse blog account which posts on new blog entries running, but under the same domain name. How are you achieving this? Is it an instance of a Fediverse network (Mastodon, Pleroma, or similar) running with different Web and Local Domains, or is it an entirely independent implementation made just for the blog?

Would love to hear how you did it. Also, I love all your articles. Gj!

@robflop Awe, thank you!

I'm actually using a plugin for Wordpress called Pterotype, which implements that ActivityPub protocol into the blog itself. It's a little rough around the edges, but generally works really well. The only caveat is that you need to turn on the plugin BEFORE you start posting articles - only the new articles you post after enabling the integration will actually federate.

@sean Ohh, I see. Good to hear that plugins like that exist, did frankly not expect that. Do you happen to know if there is a way I can get "profile link" for it? I was looking for a way to get E-Mail notifications for each new article and @rizele told me that Mastodon profiles also act as RSS feeds so I could set up an RSS->Email trigger, but I am not sure if that also applies to other implementations.

@sean Nevermind, just found the RSS feed of the site itself. Problem solved!
