not really that fond of the symbols certain dozenal advocates invented for ten and eleven
not to mention the new names they invented for these numbers. ten to twelve aren't compound words tied to the decimal system; in many languages they're remnants of dozenal counting in ancient cultures (that's why say eleven and twelve, not oneteen and twoteen or onety-one and onety-two)
might as well keep ten and eleven (and possibly twelve as well) instead of inventing new names and going through the hassle of translating them for no reason
that's why we say*
there is virtually no reason to use dek (derived from the latin word for ten) and el (derived from eleven) over ten and eleven
@steph in my opinion, eleven dozens eleven, maybe shorten the dozens to do or dutz or something like we do in decimal as well
in reality there's little consensus about this
