@jeffcliff We should have had the right to run our own network services at home protected as part of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. The same act should have forced IPv6 adoption and the provision of static IPs to all customers.

@jeffcliff I would change EVERYTHING.
The internet was crippled from the day it was opened to the general public by telecommunications providers who wanted to treat internet access like phone service, retaining control while doing everything possible to keep their customers passive and dependent.
Allowing them to do that helped set the stage for everything else.
