Collapsed Mastodon version 0.8 is published. Release notes follow:
* Cancel composing with ESC key.
* Let the user interact with the discard toot nag rather than workaround it.
* Only support newest Pleroma's MastoFE (enabled pleroma and mastodon domains have different textboxes on settings page)
* Plenty minor bug fixes and code cleanups.

Firefox users can get it from AMO:
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef

Chrome users can do a manual installation from git:
github.com/Eskuero/collapsed_m

Ignore the cursor being off from the correct location, from some reason OBS fucked it lol

Pushed a quick hotfix updated because the reply button of mastodon.social has the class name altered \o/

@eskuero

Hey! You fixed the mastofe issues? Nice.

This look brilliant. Going to give it a try later today.

@jonw Yeah I figured out some dirty workaround on pleroma's mastofe.

Not a big fan of how it looked but the extension itself is a giant hack anyway so I guess I'll settle for that.

@eskuero

@eskuero

Fair.

I can't seem to get it to do anything. I've installed it, configured it for my domain's instance, upgraded Pleroma, made sure it is enabled, hard-refreshed, and it doesn't seem to do anything in FF.

Any chance it doesn't match 3-part domains?

Any chance it does not recognize three-part domains (social.jonwatson.ca)?

@jonw Three part domains should be fine, the separator used is an "/". Are you positive you put the domain in the pleroma text box not on the mastodon's one?

If not could I have an account on your instance to be able to test myself?

@eskuero

I have it in both. I am not clear what you mean by the separator comment?

@eskuero

Oh, I seem to have answered my own question. If I remove it from the Mastodon field it works. Maybe it assumes the first one that matches?

Playing with it now. Thanks!
@eskuero

Seems the Getting Started pane won't load with the extension running. Should I file at Git instead of bugging you on Fedi?

@eskuero Actually that is a bug in the latest mastofe. Doesn't work regardless of your add-on.

@jonw Yeah it first checks for a match on mastodon and skips entirely pleroma if found it there.

@eskuero Nice!

Can this be made to work with other browsers? Case in point for me: #qutebrowser

@mrb Yeah it should be fairly easy to install it as an userscript with some modifications.

qutebrowser.org/doc/userscript

@eskuero fyi, I ended up making it a greasemonkey script for #qutebrowser.

Just removing the references to 'chrome.storage' is sufficient to get it working

@mrb Nice nice, good to hear.

If you published it somewhere I'll gladly boost the link

@eskuero I'm going to check if there is a qutebrowser equivalent for the storage part and try to retrofit that. If that works out, it's worth publishing and I will let you know.

@mrb The storage thing is to use in combination with the settings page to be able to save the settings, idk if QtWebEngine will support that.
