I guess since we have an audio player now I'll use it as an excuse to pin something.

Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei - Daedalos
This will be my first public post.
It's nice to meet you all.
I ended up adding ghosts of Lolo characters that fade in and out of the mist with the help of a simplex noise filter. It's amazing how much depth a little extra color adds.
Last night during my friend's charity stream I did a live play of OutRun (re-implemented) with money on the line.
I'm happy to say that I was able to show off all the endings and continuous mode on maximum traffic without too much trouble!
Finally got normal sleep instead of seeing blocks being shifted around in my dreams. This happened back during my Tetris 99 binge too.
Also single-cleared Catherine's Axis Mundi in the same day after struggling with it for so long. I may have to count my blessings.
6 months after the semi-MIL campaign began, I can finally put my 5 year struggle to rest. The axe dropping is the cherry on top. #ffxiv
Medical, observations involving memory
I had a small, non-surgical procedure done today. They had to sedate me for it, which meant I would be conscious enough to respond to commands from the doctors but would probably suffer a bit of amnesia afterword. Since this was all new to me, I took this as an opportunity to experiment with where the cut-off point for my memory would be.
Results were somewhat fascinating to say the least. When I got to the recovery room I did a brief mental playback and confidently said aloud that I remembered everything, by then my brain was like "Nope, no you don't!" and seemed to gradually erase those memories in real time over the next few minutes, save for the one that I was focusing on at that moment.
Now I can't seem to remember anything besides that one memory, what happened in the recovery room, and everything up to the part where I asked what the nurse was humming while I was being pumped with the solution. How bizarre!
Finally managed a full playthrough of This War of Mine, yet another game that spent a long time in my backlog.
It's really tough to practice this game, given how long it is, its slight bugginess, and its semi-hardcore nature, but a week's worth of focusing got me through. I enjoyed it, and its presentation is very well executed.
