If you've not installed youtube-dl on your GNU/Linux machine yet, DO IT.
It's one of the most powerful packages on my PC, shit is god-tier.

@Ocean22 It's so useful, I made it an option for Downloadbot. I have a copy running on my mediabox at home, and by texting a URL it downloads it to the storage array locally for later.

@Ocean22 Yep. I was trying to download songs with Headphones without much success and one of my coworkers told me about how he just uses youtube-dl to get music. That was life-changing.
There's also NewPipe on Android, but it doesn't handle stitching audio and video back together for the resolutions for which they're separated, which I believe youtube-dl does.
@Ocean22 I love it, but Tumblr has some new way of embedding video that it fails to parse.
